I gave this application a 4/5. Out of croiusity, I decided to make my own tumblr account to really get a feel for how applicable it would be in a classroom setting, or in any. The first thing I noticed was how easy and FREE it was so make an account. Literally 1 minute, and you were ready to start posting. I experimented with it for a while and found it to be a very convenient application to use if one wanted to make something accessible to the public. I found that I could not only blog with words but with pictures, videos, audios and etc. It was a really easy way to express oneself and find other blogs to follow during one’s spare time. I also enjoyed that you could personalize your page from various backgrounds, “About Me’s,” scrolling options and more. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who likes blogging but is not technologically advanced because it is so easy to use and very accessible to the public.I can definitely see tumblr being used in an educational setting such as if the teacher wanted to give out information to students to keep them updated or if the teacher wanted feedback on a certain project or assignment. Furthermore, not only would the students be interacting with the teacher, but also with each other. It is a useful and productive way to allow everyone’s opinion to be heard.
